Second Friday Lecture Series - It will be largely drawn from a book entitled Christian Marriage: A Historical Study published by Eerdmans will serve as a springboard for the series of lectures. Many of the lectures will be given by the authors of various chapters of that book, outlining the development of marriage in the Church and society.

Speaker: Professor Robert Young 
Topic: Friday Seminar on Shakespeare’s Treatment of Marriage 
“Shakespeare’s Treatment of Marriage.” Professor Robert Young. The great playwright and poet can teach us a great deal about the understanding of Christian marriage in the seventeenth century. This lecture also shows us how the understanding of marriage in his day influenced the bard and how he in turn influenced the Christian understanding of marriage in subsequent ages.
