Augustine College Night
Augustine College is a one-year alternative Christian college program in Ottawa, Canada. Formed in 1997, Augustine provides a rigorous education in Western culture with credits accepted at a variety of schools in the U.S. The program was founded by a group of Christian university professors and laymen who were convinced of the need for a new kind of institution of Christian higher learning which would teach knowledge and ideas with a firm commitment to their truth.
The faculty and staff of Augustine College have come together from a diversity of church backgrounds (already including Presbyterian, Baptist, United Church, Anglican, Methodist, and Roman Catholic). They share a considered desire for thoroughgoing faithfulness to the Lordship of Christ, submitting to the authority of Scripture and the foundational teachings of the Church.
American Friends of Augustine College is a U.S. organization that promotes the college in the United States. We are having an event to publicize the college in the Philadelphia area in February. If you teach or counsel any student who might be interested or if you are interested in learning about the program, we would be delighted to see you or them. A professor from the college will speak and the Dean of the college will outline the program.
